Brenda Biya, daughter of Paul Biya, the President of Cameroon, has revealed her lesbian status to the world, with a photo of her kissing a fellow woman.
This was seen publicly in a social media post made by the President’s daughter while disclosing her relationship status with Layyons Valença, a Brazilian model.
Brenda openly declared her love for the model and also displayed her lesbian status in the caption.
She wrote: “I am crazy about you and I want the world to know.”
However, this is not the first time the two ladies would share their relationship status with the world.
Paul Biya, is the longest serving Cameroonian President, at the age of 91 years.
Since 2016, the country’s law on same sex marriage or in the event of having sexual intercourse with same sex is five years imprisonment with a fine of 200,000 CFA.
Commenting on the public disclosure of Brenda Biya, Bandi Kiki, a Cameroonian LGBTQ activist stated that the penal code only targeted the poor, not the rich or the privileged.
“It highlights a harsh reality. Wealth and connections create a shield for some, while others face severe consequences”, Bandi Kiki posited.
Cameroonian government hasn’t said anything on the trending issue of the President’s daughter till this moment.
