Nigeria Super Eagles have defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 2 – 0 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast.
Nigeria had a disallowed goal in the 9 minutes of the first half before Victor Osimhen’s assist through pass to Lookman led to the first goal of the Super Eagles in the 36th minute of the first half.
Nigeria struggled throughout the second half but scored their second goal in the 90th minute of the second half by A. Lookman.
This is the first match Nigeria will be scoring two goals in a match since the beginning of AFCON 2023.
