Unilag Alumni Chair gifts best MBBS graduating Student 100k,charges newly inducted graduates to be good ambassadors

Dr Oluwatosin Olowojebutu, Unilag Alumni Chairman,Lagos State has rewarded the best graduating MBBS student at MEDILAG with 100,000 thousand cash gift to support excellence.

He announced this during the 2018/19 Medical and Dental Hybrid Induction Ceremony of the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos, Idi-Araba held at the Old Great Hall of the College.

Dr. Benjamin Oluwatosin Adesoji Olowojebutu who was the guest speaker delivered a thought-provoking and insightful alumni charge to the newly medical and dental graduates charging them to be focus, goal oriented, humble, learn to collaborate, be positive change agents and desist from following anyone’s trajectory in the course of their new journey to the world.

Dr. Olowojebutu, an enigma, man of sterling achievements and philanthropist came with a surprise by pleading with the Provost, Professor David Adewale Oke to approach the podium for the second time where he unveiled a great surprise by calling on the best graduating student in MBBS (Dr. Adebisi Adeyeye) and rewarded her with the cash gift of 100,000 naira cash.The recipient of the cash reward was in tears with the kind gesture of Dr Olowojebutu.

In attendance at the ceremony was the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige and his wife, Dr. Evelyn Ngige who is an alumna of the College of Medicine University of Lagos (1988 set); DVC (Development Services) Professor Ayodele Victoria Atsenuwa ably representing the Vice Chancellor; Registrar and Secretary to Council, Oladejo Azeez, Esq.; Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Dr. T. A. B. Sanusi, Chairman of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Lagos State Branch who is an alumnus , Dr. Adetunji Adenekan; and other principal officers of the College.
