UNILAG Security Unit Arrests Four Thieves; Calls for Increased Campus Vigilance

Officers of the Security Unit in University of Lagos (UNILAG) have apprehended four people who were caught at different times in the acts of stealing and vehicle vandalization within the university community.

These individuals who were caught in the acts of stealing and vehicle vandalization have been handed over to the Police for further investigation and prosecution.
The security unit released the details of these people; Akpan Issac Uyuobong was apprehended on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Photographer’s Village, Faculty of Education for stealing two Tecno Phones, Shittu Abildun Teslim was apprehended on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Guaranty Trust Bank Car Park for serial car vandalization.

Oluwaseun Oluwadamilola was apprehended on Friday, September 29, 2023 for car vandalisation and stealing at the Faculty of Engineering, and Yahaya Jubril was apprehended on Friday, September 29, 2023 for car vandalization and stealing at the Faculty of Engineering.

Members of the University community (staff, students, and friends of the University) are enjoined to be security-conscious and not hesitate to report anything or anyone suspicious to the Security Unit.
