An explosion has rocked the 28-inch Trans Niger Delta Line in Bodo community of Gokana local government area of Rivers state.
The pipeline which is a Federal transport line that transports crude oil, was said to have been hit in the early hours of Tuesday by yet to be identified persons.

Although no one has claimed responsibility for the attack or if it was caused by any other means, the attack is coming after series of threats by militant groups to attack oil installations should the Rivers House of assembly issue an impeachment notice to the state governor Siminalayi Fubara.
When contacted, Grace Iringe-koko, Rivers state police command spokesperson did not return her calls and text messages. Meanwhile, the fire at the pipeline which is along Julius Berger junction in Bodo was still on as at the time of filing this report.
