Nigeria and South Africa are collaborating to strengthening social protection system for workers in both countries.
This was when a high level delegation from South Africa led by the Group Chief Executive Officer of Rand Mutual Assurance, Bilal Adam paid a visit to the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund , NSITF headquarters in Abuja for partnership.
The Managing Director of the Fund, Oluwaseun Faleye says the future of social protection lies in collaboration, innovation and the exchange of experiences.
He views the visit as a beginning of a strategic partnership capable of transforming workers’ compensation and occupational injury insurance administration across respective jurisdictions.
Faleye says he is particularly encouraged by the prospects in areas such as digital transformation, claims administration, occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes, capacity building, research, and policy development.
