The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has commended the outgoing Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ogun State Police Command, CSP Omolola Odutola, anipr, for her exceptional service, while warmly welcoming her successor, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi.

In a statement signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, and Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, the NUJ praised CSP Odutola for her professionalism, transparency, and media-friendly approach during her tenure in Ogun State.
“CSP Odutola demonstrated remarkable skill in strategic communication, prompt dissemination of information, and respect for journalistic ethics. Her openness fostered a cordial and mutually respectful relationship between the police and the media, greatly enhancing public trust in the command,” the statement read.
The Council acknowledged her commitment to effective police and media relations and expressed confidence that she would continue to excel in her new assignment at the Lagos State Police Command.
Following the recent nationwide redeployment of PPROs, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi has been appointed by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, as the new PPRO for the Ogun State Police Command.
A barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, DSP Babaseyi brings to the role a wealth of experience in policing, investigations, administration, and public relations. He has served in various strategic positions across the Nigeria Police Force.
The NUJ Ogun Council expressed optimism that DSP Babaseyi’s expertise would further strengthen police and media collaboration in the state. It also assured him of the Council’s full support and cooperation in the discharge of his duties.
