The Ogun State Police Command has announced that 29 suspects arrested during the recent “Operation Keep Sagamu Safe” have been charged to court following thorough screening.

The Command disclosed that the suspects were among the 146 individuals apprehended during the intelligence-led operation carried out in Sagamu on April 13, 2026, as part of efforts to curb criminal activities in the area.
According to the Police, after a detailed review process, 29 of the suspects were found culpable and subsequently arraigned in court on April 15, 2026. The court ordered their remand in correctional custody, with the case adjourned until May 12, 2026.
The Command noted that the development reflects its commitment to transparency, professionalism, and due process in handling criminal cases.
It further assured residents that Sagamu remains calm and secure, reiterating its resolve to sustain proactive policing and maintain public safety across the state.
Residents were also urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to security agencies to support ongoing efforts to keep communities safe.
