Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, for allegedly killing two persons and injuring three others during a violent attack in the Olámbe area of the state.

The suspect was apprehended by detectives attached to the Ajuwon Division following the incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
According to the police, Musa allegedly attacked five individuals with a knife after a disagreement linked to failed business dealings. The victims were said to have been trying to calm him down when the situation escalated into violence.
Two of the victims, Gbadamasi Ibrahim, 25, and Chinedu, 40, died while being rushed to the hospital. A medical doctor later confirmed them dead.
The three other victims—Mohammed Abubakar, 35, Ashiru Adamu, 25, and Paul Lawrence, 25—sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment, with officials reporting that they are responding to care.
Police said the suspect fled the scene after the attack but was subsequently tracked and arrested by detectives.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the incident and assured that justice would be served.
He also urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious or violent behaviour to security agencies.
The command reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order, calling on members of the public to cooperate with the police by providing timely and credible information.
