PILGRIMS BEGIN MOVEMENT TO MINA AHEAD OF FULL HAJJ RITES

Pilgrims performing the 2026 Hajjrites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have begun movement to Masha’ir also known as the four sacred places ahead of full Hajj rites

Hundreds of Nigerian pilgrims have also proceeded to Mina, where they are expected to settle in tents preparatory movement to mount Arafat on Tuesday for the observation of the peak of 2026 Hajj exercise

The late movement follows official directives from the Saudi Authority to restrict pilgrims from moving from the hour of 10am to 2pm owing to severe temperature and dehydration, which may serve as potential risk to the health of pilgrims.
