Professor Luciana Obinna Chukwu,a Professor of Marine Science and Director of Academic planning at the University of Lagos has been appointed as the new Deputy Vice Chancellor, Management Services of the University.
The election was between Professor Chimdi Maduagwua professor of English Language and Obinna Chukwu,Professor of Marine services which led to the emergence of Professor Luciana Obina Chukwu.
Prof Lucian Obinna Chukwu ,a former dean of School of Postgraduate Studies, Director of Quality assurance and an alumnus of the University of Lagos Nigeria is a researcher of international repute has conducted series of researches in Marine Biology, Ecosystem Health and Risk Assessment .
Also, Professor Solomon Akinboye, a professor of Political science and immediate past dean of School of postgraduate has been elected as Senate representatives in the Governing council.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe congratulates Prof. Obinna Chukwu and Solomon Akinboye respectively on their appointment.
