The much-anticipated National Youth Conference 2026 will hold in October, with young Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora expected to participate in discussions aimed at shaping the nation’s future.
The organisers disclosed this during a press conference held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to announce the conference, themed: “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future.”
The two-week conference will commence with a nationwide virtual consultation involving young Nigerians at home and abroad, followed by a physical conference in Abuja featuring delegates from all 360 federal constituencies.
According to Comrade Olawande Ayodele, Honourable Minister for Youth Development says the conference will provide an inclusive platform for young Nigerians to share their experiences, propose practical solutions and contribute to policy discussions on governance, employment, education, technology, climate action, security and social harmony.
The Minister emphasised that the conference would go beyond speeches and reports by establishing mechanisms to track commitments and translate its outcomes into measurable action.
The Minister urged young Nigerians to participate actively in the conference, stressing the importance of collective efforts to develop solutions, take ownership of the future and build the Nigeria they want.
