The management of Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) has commended the performance of its students at the just concluded 1st African School Games held in Algeria.

The school games kicked off on July 26th – August 5th, 2025 featured over 3,000 young athletes across the continent competed in 25 sports disciplines.
Nigerian athletes participated in 10 various sports winning a total of 25 medals comprising of six gold, 10 silver, and nine bronze medals in which NTIC students contributed four gold, two silver and one bronze to the country medals haul.
They were Miracle Ezechukwu with two gold in 200m and medley relay team, and a silver in 100m. Rosemary Nwakwo won two gold in 100m and medley relay as well as a silver in 200m.
Similarly, Unique Umeh completed the NTIC students task with a bronze medal in taekwondo event.
Speaking on the students victorious outing, the Managing Director of NTIC, Dr. Fevzullah Bilgin commended the students exemplary performance at the school games for bringing honour to their fatherland.
He noted that they are under sport scholarship program, 100% scholarship with academically-sports wise
“NTIC is covering their academic side and N-Youth Sports Academy covers their sports wise. They have been under the Bilançonun education and sports wise activities.They were selected at the National Youth Games.”
It could be recalled that 1st African School Games was a grand a celebration of youth, talent, and continental unity. Nigeria placed 4th on the medals log behind hosts nation, Algeria, followed by Egypt, and Tunisia.
Team Nigeria competed in 10 disciplines, including athletics, badminton, basketball, beach-volleyball, canoeing, football, swimming, table tennis, cycling and taekwondo.
