The Obafemi Awolowo University,ile-ife has appointed a new Vice Chancellor in person of
Professor Simeon Bamire, a 63yrs.
Bamire is a professor of Agricultural Economics who was born in January, 1959 and had his Bsc 1985 , MSc 1992 and PhD in 1999 from OAU, Ife.
A Native of Oyan town, Odo Otin Local Government, Osun State.
He succeeds Prof Ogunbodede – the current VC whose tenure is expected to terminate June 7,2022.
