Adeboye condemns attack on unarmed protesters, calls for peace

The General overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has condemned in strongest possible terms the attack launched by the military on unarmed young people who have been protesting peacefully on police brutality for over 12days.

The Cleric who noted that prior to the sad event, the Police fail to arrest the weapon bearing hoodlums who were attacking the well organized and non-violent ENdSars protesters.

However, the actions of the military is condemnable and risk driving the agitation of the young people underground therefore making the situation unmanageable.

Adeboye calls on the federal Government to thoroughly investigate the tragic event at lekki and other parts of the country and giving justice to all victims even as it engages the endsars protesters to reach a common agreement to end police brutality.

“I am aslo appealing to the youths to allow peace to rain in the country and stop any form of action that may make give the military any form of excuse to attack”,Adeboye appealed.

The cleric called upon peace to engulf the nation now and forever more in Jesus name.

It would be recalled that Lagos State Governor declared curfew to start at 4pm which was later moved to 9pm after hoodlums had burnt Orile police station but the military attacked the Lekki protesters even before the hour of nine and shot unarmed protesters.
