Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State has presented the staff of office and instrument of appointment to Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup as 41st Owa Obokun of ljesaland.
The governor during the presentation urged Ijesa sons and daughters to always ensure the development of their fatherland.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup pledged to prioritize the unity of Ijesaland and focus on job creation for the youths.”
Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup served as deputy to the first governor of Osun State when it was created in 1991.
Traditional rulers, political officer holders as well as Sons and daughters of Ijesaland converged at the Obokungbusi town hall to witness the installation of their new monarch.
