Gabriel Suswam, Former Benue State Governor, has called on Nigerians, particularly youths, to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration and vote for him in the 2027 presidential election despite the economic hardship in the country.

Suswam made the call on Friday while speaking at the PBAT Door-to-Door rally in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
He acknowledged the hardship currently facing Nigerians but argued that the difficulties were necessary to lay a foundation for a better future.
“Don’t listen to any propaganda that people are churning out. There is suffering now, but there is no way you can build a future without experiencing some pains,” Suswam said.
He urged Nigerians to give Tinubu another four years to consolidate his policies, arguing that the President’s reforms would benefit younger generations in the long term.
“Tinubu has taken it, please let’s allow him in the next four years. He will consolidate and hand over to somebody who shall build on it,” he said.
Suswam also encouraged supporters of the President to take the campaign beyond rallies by engaging voters directly in their communities.
He said supporters should return to their local government areas and villages to explain what he described as the long-term benefits of Tinubu’s policies to their families and communities.
The former governor further explained that his decision to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, was motivated by his desire to be part of what he believes would be recorded positively in Nigeria’s history.
Suswam said he wanted to be remembered as one of those who supported Tinubu in laying a solid foundation for the younger generation.
He expressed support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing Tinubu’s reforms as measures targeted at improving the future of the country.
“Yes, there are traces of hardship but tomorrow you will be better off for it, so let us support Tinubu for 2027,” he added.
