The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested seven suspects, including six males and one female, over alleged drug-related offences during a raid operation at Lobito Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.

The suspects were arrested on September 2, 2026, by operatives of the Command attached to the Maitama Division as part of sustained operations aimed at curbing the sale, abuse and trafficking of illicit drugs and other criminal activities across the FCT.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects were found in possession of various substances suspected to be illicit or controlled drugs. The items recovered included dried leaves suspected to be cannabis packaged in small transparent sachets, several tablets of Tramadol, one bottle of Codeine and a black polythene bag containing dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis sativa, among others.
The seven suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
The FCT Police Command urged residents to shun drug abuse, trafficking and other forms of criminality, while calling for public support in ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security across the Territory.
The Command also advised residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious persons, activities or locations to the nearest police station or through its emergency lines.
