The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has alerted the motorists and the public of the collapse of a bridge along the Katsina–Batsari route, a few meters after Salbak Filling Station, near Shagari Lowcost, following a heavy downpour on Saturday night.
Following an on the spot assessment by Maxwell Lede, Sector Commander, the affected section has been temporarily closed to traffic, and the area has been cordoned off from both ends by FRSC personnel to safeguard road users.
Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the collapsed bridge site to prevent road crashes, especially during late evening hours or in rainy conditions when visibility is poor.
