Oyebanji wins Fayose’s polling unit as APC dominates votes in Afao-Ekiti

Abiodun Oyebanji, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate,
has secured victory at Polling Unit 01, St. David’s Primary School, Afao-Ekiti, the polling unit of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area.

The result was announced by the Electoral Officer, Barnabas Ahanjba, after sorting and counting of ballots in the presence of security operatives and party agents.

A total of 500 voters were accredited at the polling unit. The APC polled 448 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) scored 37 votes. The Action Democratic Party (ADP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recorded four votes each.

The electoral officer also noted that six votes were rejected as invalid.

Collation of results from the remaining seven polling units in the area was still underway at the time of filing this report.
