NOUN to Hold 15th Convocation Ceremony April 17–18

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has scheduled its 15th Convocation Ceremony to hold from April 17 to April 18, 2026.

The announcement was made by the Registrar of the university, Oladipo Ajayi, who disclosed that the convocation activities would take place at the institution’s headquarters in Abuja.

According to the statement, the pre-convocation lecture will be delivered on April 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the university’s conference centre in Jabi. The lecture will be presented by former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Kanu Godwin Agabi.

The university said the convocation ceremony would be conducted both on-site and off-site to accommodate graduands and other participants across the country.

Those attending the on-site event have been advised to be seated at the university’s Convocation Arena in Jabi not later than 9:00 a.m.

The main convocation ceremony, during which graduands will be awarded various degrees, is scheduled for April 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Convocation Arena of the university.

The institution explained that only first-class graduates, award winners, Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) graduands, Master’s degree graduands, as well as doctorate and honorary doctorate recipients would participate physically at the convocation arena in Abuja.

Other first-degree graduands from various study centres across the country, including those in the Federal Capital Territory, will participate in the ceremony from their respective state capital study centres.

The university also announced that certificates would be available for collection immediately after the ceremony at the university headquarters in Abuja and at the designated state capital study centres.

Graduands from study centres within Abuja are expected to collect their certificates at the university’s Abuja Model Study Centre in Kubwa.

Meanwhile, the university advised graduands and interested participants to join the event through its livestream platform from their respective study centres.
