President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country is gradually emerging stronger from ongoing economic reforms, declaring that “the walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here.”

In his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, the President said the sacrifices and difficult reforms undertaken by his administration over the past three years were beginning to yield positive results for the nation’s economy.
Tinubu noted that the reforms had contributed to a more stable economy and positioned Nigeria as a preferred investment destination capable of driving job creation and economic growth.
“As a nation, we are on a journey of reconstruction and renewal. The reforms we have undertaken are challenging but necessary to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations,” the President stated.
He said the Eid-el-Kabir celebration serves as a reminder of the virtues of faith, obedience, sacrifice and compassion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
According to him, Nigerians must embrace selflessness, unity and compassion regardless of ethnic, religious or social differences.
The President also acknowledged the security challenges facing parts of the country, despite recent successes recorded by security agencies, including the elimination of a wanted ISIS leader.
“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” Tinubu said.
He urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for peace, national unity and wisdom for leaders at all levels.
The President also called on Nigerians to support the less privileged and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in security, infrastructure, agriculture and human capital development to fulfil what he described as the great promise of Nigeria.
He wished Muslims and all Nigerians a peaceful, joyous and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying that Allah accepts their sacrifices and continues to bless the country.
