Ogun APC Dismisses Social Media Claims, Reaffirms Caucus Resolutions

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed what it described as misleading and fabricated narratives circulating on social media regarding resolutions reached at its recent State Caucus meeting.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta, the party said the reports were attempts to distort the outcomes of the meeting held at its secretariat, insisting that only officially communicated resolutions should be regarded as authentic.

According to the statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Nuberu Adesanya Olufemi, the caucus unanimously endorsed Senator Olamilekan Solomon, popularly known as Yayi, as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The party also reaffirmed its earlier endorsement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its presidential candidate in Ogun State for the 2027 elections, pledging to deliver a strong bloc of votes in his support.

The APC stressed that these were the only resolutions adopted at the meeting, warning that any contrary narratives being circulated online were false and should be disregarded.

It urged party members and the general public to rely solely on official communication channels for accurate information.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to unity and disciplined communication as preparations gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
