Ogun Police Deploy Officers to 72 CBT Centres for 2026 UTME

The Ogun State Police Command has deployed personnel and operational assets across 72 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in the state.

The examination, organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, is scheduled to hold from April 16 to April 25, 2026.

According to the Command, the deployment is part of a proactive and intelligence-led security strategy aimed at guaranteeing a hitch-free examination process across all designated centres. The plan includes enhanced visibility of police personnel, early threat detection, and rapid response to any security concerns before, during, and after the examination period.

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has placed all Area Commanders in jurisdictions hosting CBT centres on high alert, directing them to take full responsibility for security coordination within their areas. They are also mandated to ensure strict supervision of officers, continuous patrols around examination venues, and close collaboration with Divisional Police Officers, tactical units, and JAMB officials.

The Command warned that any attempt to engage in examination malpractice, impersonation, or disorderly conduct would attract swift arrest and prosecution.

Reaffirming the Command’s commitment to maintaining peace and the integrity of the examination, the Commissioner urged candidates to adhere strictly to all guidelines and conduct themselves responsibly.

Residents were also encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the Command’s emergency lines.
