Nigerian Man Climbs Radio Mast To Commit Suicide In Abuja, Demands Return Of Fuel Subsidy

A yet-to-be-identified man has reportedly climbed up a radio mast on Katampe Hill in Abuja on Monday stating that he is willing to sacrifice his life for the solution to the problem of Nigerians.

This was seen in a video posted by Channels TV, stating that a suicide note left behind by the man was found.

According to a suicide note he reportedly left at the foot of the mast, he demanded the return of the fuel subsidy, among other demands for the government to alleviate the burdens on Nigerians.

Meanwhile, relevant agencies were deployed to the scene to rescue him.

The rescue operation is currently being carried out by the Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency and Federal Capital Territory officials.
