Governor Makinde names new advisory council members, other aides

Governor, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, has approved the appointment of three new members to the state Advisory Council, chaired by legal luminary Chief Bolaji Ayorinde.

This was disclosed by the Special Adviser on media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, in Ibadan, the state capital, on Friday.

The newly appointed members are Abu Salami, Ezekiel Oyedepo and Lydia Bankole.

He said, “In addition, according to appointment letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Hon. Adekunle Bankole has been named Chairman of the state Hospitals Management Board. Similarly, three officials have been reassigned to new roles.

“Mrs Adeboyin Oladokun, formerly a member of the state Housing Corporation, is now the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.

“Abiodun Oluwaseun, previously Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the state Project Performance Monitoring Agency, replacing Engr Muftau Salawu, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement.

“Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, who formerly served on the board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, has been appointed a member of the state Housing Corporation

It added that all the appointments take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.

Makinde, therefore, congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their duties with loyalty, commitment, and dedication to the service of the state.
