NYCN Directorate Honours Africa Youth Circle’s Finance Team Lead For Impactful Work In Ogun State

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Directorate of Education and Innovation in Ogun State, has honoured the Finance Team of the African Youth Circle led by Temilola Aderonke Onalaja for their exceptional contributions to financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills development among the youths in the State.

The award recognises transformative efforts of the team in empowering young people with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive economy adding that the team’s initiative, known as the Project – Financial Literacy/Entrepreneurial Skills Development, has had a significant impact on the youths of Ogun through targeted workshops, essay competition, seminars, and hands-on training.

Temilola Aderonke Onalaja, who led the finance team of the Africa Youth Circle throughout this project, was pinpointed as the driving force and brains behind its success.

It was said that her leadership and strategic direction enabled the team to deliver high-quality programs that have been well received by the community and have left a lasting legacy.

“Temilola’s dedication to financial literacy aligns with her professional background and passion for youth empowerment. Temilola currently serves as the Financial Controller for Aco Systems Nigeria, where she oversees complex financial operations and drives strategic financial initiatives,” a statement from the directorate said.

“She brings an impressive academic and professional background to her role. She holds an MBA from the University of Chichester, UK, a Level 7 qualification in Strategic Management and Leadership from OTHM, and certifications in revenue cycle and cost-effectiveness from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

“Her extensive qualifications have not only enabled her to excel in the corporate world but also to apply her expertise in community-focused initiatives like the Project – Financial Literacy/Entrepreneurial Skills Development.

“As a leader, she continues to inspire the youth to adopt sound financial practices and entrepreneurial mindsets, helping them to navigate economic challenges and seize opportunities. The Directorate of Education and Training appreciated Aderonke Onalaja financial team for supporting the 2024 National Youth Day event.
