The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has clarifies the ban placed on using canopies on campus during 55th Convocation Lecture ceremonies commencing on Monday January 13th 2024.
Professor Folasade Ogunsola, the Vice Chancellor of UNILAG disclosed this on Wednesday during the 55th Pre-Convocation press conference, she said “we will review the guidelines issued on using canopies to allow people use canopies in non-faculty area of the university.
“Vehicle will not be allowed to move within the university premises on the convocation ceremonies due to the high volume of vehicles that will coming to the university during the ceremony.She said the university will provide a place where vehicles will be park and there is provision for transportation for moving people from the university gate to the university campus.
“This is being done to reduce the traffic congestion usually experienced within the university campus during previous convocation ceremonies, she added.
