Yobe state Police Command says it has arrested a suspected bandit’s kingpin in Ngalda town in Fika local government area of the state.
The arrest was in response to a robbery attack allegedly masterminded by the kingpin at Ngalda Market on Monday which resulted in seven deaths and eleven injured.
Superintendent Dungus Abdulkarim, Command spokesman, who discloses this in a statement in Damaturu notes that locally made pistol and three cartridges were recovered from the suspect.
It adds irate youths in the area mobilised and neutralised three of the suspected attackers while three others fled with injuries.
Police urges residents to give prompt information on the fleeing suspects.
