The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared readiness for the governorship election in Ekiti State, holding on June 20.

Bunmi Omoseyindemi, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in a media interaction Ado-Ekiti, said that the final voter register is almost complete and will soon be shared with political parties.
He announced that PVC collection dates will also be released shortly, while ad-hoc staff recruitment and screening are already ongoing.
Omoseyindemi highlighted potential challenges, which include vote buying, thuggery, misinformation, difficult terrain, low voter turnout, and weather conditions. He said robust security measures are also being put in place to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
