Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has revealed the arrest of six suspects in relation to the terrorists attack on Community High School Ahoro-Ẹ̀sínẹ̀lẹ̀, L A Basic School, Ahoro-Ẹ̀sínẹ̀lẹ̀.

According to the governor, “six people suspected to have connection with the attack have been arrested and are currently undergoing interrogation as part of ongoing investigations into the incident.”
Governor Makinde, at a press briefing at his private residence in Kolapo Ishola Estate, Ibadan, confirmed that seven teachers were abducted during the attack on Community High School Ahoro-Ẹ̀sínẹ̀lẹ̀, L A Basic School, Ahoro-Ẹ̀sínẹ̀lẹ̀ and First Baptist Church Nursery and Primary School, Yáwọ́ta, in Oriire Local Government Area.
Makinde acknowledged that, of the seven kidnapped teachers, one teacher was killed. He, however, noted that the exact number of abducted pupils remained unknown and would only be confirmed when schools resume on Monday.
He further stated that two operatives of the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, sustained injuries during the attack and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
While condoling with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack, Governor Makinde, assured residents that the state government would provide daily updates until the situation is completely brought under control.
