The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging the imposition of a curfew or restriction of movement across the state, describing the claims as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the command said the security situation in the state remains peaceful and under control, assuring residents that there is no cause for panic.
The statement, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has ensured adequate deployment of personnel and operational assets across strategic locations in the state to maintain law and order.
“The Ogun State Police Command wishes to categorically debunk rumours and misleading reports alleging the imposition of a curfew or restriction of movement in Ogun State,” the statement read.
According to the command, residents are advised to disregard unverified reports capable of creating unnecessary fear and continue with their lawful activities without intimidation.
The police further urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements or security concerns through the command’s emergency lines.
The command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining public peace across the state.
