Three suspected terrorists have been taken into military custody following a security operation at Jakura Hills in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The suspects were apprehended on Saturday by troops of Sector 3, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), deployed to the Lokoja area as part of ongoing efforts to tackle security threats in the state.
Security sources said the suspects were arrested over their alleged involvement in terrorist activities within the area.
The development was disclosed in a post on X by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security expert covering security operations in the Lake Chad region.
The suspects are currently being held by the military as investigations continue to determine their identities, affiliations and alleged roles in the activities under investigation.
Authorities have yet to disclose further details about the suspects or provide information on whether weapons or other items were recovered during the operation.
The arrest comes amid continued security operations by troops in parts of Kogi State and other areas considered vulnerable to criminal and terrorist activities.
