The Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has paraded 38 suspects arrested for various criminal offences, including kidnapping, murder, vandalism of government property, and illegal immigration across the state.

Adetunji Adeleye, the Commander of the Corps, while briefing newsmen on Wednesday in Akure said the arrests were made during a series of coordinated operations by the Corps’ zonal commanders, coordinators, and divisional officers across the state.

He emphasised that the operation reflects Amotekun’s renewed commitment to ensuring peace and safety in Ondo State, which remains one of the most secure in the country.

The commander revealed that a syndicate responsible for vandalising government machinery was apprehended after a gun duel with Amotekun operatives. The suspects, who were caught with caterpillar parts, engines, tyres, and gas-cutting tools, reportedly opened fire on the security operatives but were subdued without casualties.

Adeleye added that the Corps also arrested a man posing as a military officer in connection with the recent murder of two men in the Ago-Dada area of Akure. The suspect, found in military camouflage, has been handed over to the appropriate military authorities for verification.
