The Betting Control and Licensing Board has suspended all gambling adverts for 30 days.

This was disclosed in a statement that stated that “Some promoters are falsely marketing gambling as a shortcut to wealth, which has devastating effects on individuals, families, and society at large”
A recent report had shown that 74% of gamblers in Africa are aged between 18 and 35, revealing just how deeply gambling is rooted in youth culture across the continent.
