Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Saturday, visited the school pupils and teachers of rescued from captivity in Oriire Local Government Area.
The governor was at the 2 Division medical facility to assess the condition of the victims and interact with them, as they are currently receiving medical treatment and evaluation after the traumatic ordeal at the Military Hospital in Ibadan.
The governor said he was happy the children are back.
He noted that some army officers were lost in the operations to rescue the kidnapped victims.
The governor assured that families of the deceased officers will be visited and ensure they will not regret the national service of their lost ones.
Journalists were barred from entering the hospital but were able to speak with the governor.
The victims were rescued on Friday.
