According to the Police, the case was reported on May 22, 2026, by Mr. Paul Aderemi of Ayegunle Street, Ondo. Preliminary investigations revealed that the complainant had purchased a low-loader truck, a tipper truck, and a smaller truck valued at approximately ₦71 million in May 2025.

The vehicles were reportedly entrusted to the custody of the principal suspect, Adeola Kolawole, under an agreed arrangement at Arigbabola Street, Ondo.

The confession provided investigators with critical leads, leading to the arrest of five other suspects believed to have participated in various stages of the alleged illegal transaction.

The Police said efforts are ongoing to recover the three vehicles and uncover the full extent of the criminal conspiracy. The six suspects have reportedly made confessional statements and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
