IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu,Inspector-General of Police, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening collaboration with community stakeholders to enhance security across the country.

Disu gave the assurance while receiving a delegation from the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) on a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The delegation, led by the PCRC National Chairman, Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, included members of the National Executive Committee and representatives from various regional commands.
In his remarks, Olaniyan congratulated the Inspector-General on his appointment and reaffirmed the PCRC’s loyalty and continued support for the Nigeria Police Force. He also commended Disu for recognising the committee’s strategic role in promoting community-based policing and national security.
Responding, the IGP expressed appreciation for the PCRC’s sustained contributions, assuring the delegation of the Force’s readiness to deepen cooperation with the committee.
He, however, urged the PCRC leadership to maintain strict oversight of its operations, stressing that its identification should be used strictly for legitimate purposes, particularly intelligence gathering.
Disu further emphasised the need for members of the committee to uphold high standards of conduct, noting that they must remain exemplary citizens to protect the integrity of the partnership.
The engagement, according to the police, highlights the continued efforts of the Force to foster stronger community relations and promote collaborative approaches to security nationwide.
