The Nigeria Police Force in Ekiti State have arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery attack on private hostels of students of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.

Sunday Abutu, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Command, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Saturday.
He said the robbery occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday at off-campus hostels in Iworoko.
“Upon receipt of the information, police operatives from Iworoko Division swung into action, trailed the culprits to their hideout and arrested two, while others escaped,” Abutu said.
He added that items recovered from the suspects include an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle allegedly used for the operation, two stolen phones, two MP digital radios, as well as shoes and clothes.
According to him, the suspects—Abdulraman Abdulmumini, 26, and Abdulsalam Oseni, 31—confessed to the crime during interrogation and provided information on other gang members still at large.
“Investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to arrest the fleeing suspects and recover other stolen items,” he said.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Michael Falade, urged residents to support the police with credible information to help curb criminal activities across the state.
