The Oyo State Government (OYSG) under the leadership of Seyi Makinde, have put the pen on paper for the final agreement of gas infrastructure with Shell, multinational oil and gas company.
This was announced by Seyi Makinde, Oyo State Governor, after signing the final agreement yesterday in London.
In the press release, the Governor said the deal is worth $100million and it clearly involves the construction of Pressure Reduction Metering Station (PRMS) and also laying of pipelines by SNG on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT).
Clarifying further, he said the ownership will be transferred to Oyo State Government after 20 years.
“With this agreement in place, we are looking forward to the first flow of gas to industrial, manufacturing and commercial entities as well as our independent power project in Oyo State in 18 months”, he said.
