‘Protesting Okada Riders’ Attack Lagos Police Station

About 100 hoodlums attacked a police station at Ipaja area of Lagos state in the early hours of Thursday morning.

This attack led to the exchange of gunshots between the hoodlums and officers of the law, so passersby had to jostle to stay safe.

Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Spokesman of Lagos state command, informed Channels Television that the hoodlums were Okada riders, who went against the community safety enforcement carried out by police officers of the division.

The attack by these hoodlums cannot be disconnected from raid being carried out by police officers, according to eyewitness.

However, the Police Spokesman said the officers of Ipaja division resisted the attacks but did not confirm if any live was lost.
