Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria First Lady, has appealed to Nigerians to continue to embrace the spirit of giving and volunteerism, particularly towards the vulnerable and less privileged, noting that through collective action, they can help reduce poverty, strengthen communities, and ensure that no one is left behind.
This is contained in her message to mark 2026 International Day of Charity, which she says highlights the power of kindness, compassion, and generosity in building a more caring and inclusive society.
She says, giving and or charity, the First Lady notes, is about extending a helping hand, restoring hope, and supporting those in need, mindful that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference in the life of another. It concludes.
