A fuel supply shortage has affected parts of Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), causing disruptions to motorists and businesses. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has attributed the shortage to a technical hitch in the discharge operations of two vessels.
According to a statement released by the NNPC Ltd., the company is working closely with stakeholders to resolve the issue and restore normal fuel supply operations as soon as possible.
Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., confirmed the situation and assured the public that efforts are being made to address the issue.
The NNPC Ltd. statement came on July 27, 2024, as the company sought to alleviate concerns and reassure the public of its commitment to resolving the fuel supply challenges.
