The 20th of June is celebrated yearly as Father’s day across the globe, even when we have countless dates celebrated as Mothers’ day.
The Economics of celebrating parents—Fathers and Mothers is regimented for the fathers since they are seen as a stronger gender who needs less care, attention and love, while the mothers deserves all the love, care and attention because they are seen as the weaker gender. However, that is fast changing.
Both Men and Women need care in this 21st century when people are fast plunging into depression due to rising economic hardship being experienced as a result of the pandemic the world suffered in 2020.
The Constitution and the Books of the law—the Bible and Quaran still maintained that a man should provide for his family whether the wife is working or not, because he who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains mercy from the Lord, while a man who has no job shouldn’t marry.
The responsibilities therein places so much burden on the man as the care giver.
Despite that, many children grew to take good care of their mother, assuming the father should take care of himself.
It took a while after countless of mothers day for a day to be set aside to appreciate men, which is every 20th of June.
Despite that, how many wives and children remember to make their fathers special on a day like this?
How many women will alert their husbands account as a way of appreciation?
How many women and children will take their father out on a date to celebrate the big day?
How many children will pray for their father to live long?
Many children have been brainwashed by their mothers that their father is irresponsible but the truth is, for a man’s sperm to produce a child show a high level of responsibility because many sperm cannot father a child, that is the true sense of it.
If you have a father, appreciate your father for bringing you into the world irrespective of the situations you find yourself. Harbour no misgivings and pray to be a better father.
On this note, if you are a father, I wish you a Happy Fathers day,you are loved and appreciated.
