Three students of Abeokuta Grammar School were awarded cash prizes after winning an essay competition organised in celebration of Ebunoluwa Smith-Odumesi’s 40th birthday.
The Commemorative Essay Competition, themed ‘‘Artificial Intelligence or human intelligence is the future of Education” was put together by Smith-Odumesi among Senior and Junior Students of Abeokuta Grammar School.
According to a statement by Abeokuta Grammar School old students’ association, AGSOBA, the winners of the contest included an SS3 student, Oluwapamilerin Adebajo who clinched the 1st position; an SS2 student, Testimony Adekeye who emerged as first runner up, and an SS3 student Aridunnu Adesina, taking the 3rd position.
While overall winner was awarded N50,000 cash prize, the second and third winners were given N30,000 and N20,000 respectively.
The elated winners were grateful to the celebrant for the platform and the cash gifts.
“In addition, Agsoba (Chief) Sunday Oduntan, President General, AGSOBA Global congratulates Agsoba Ebunoluwa Smith-Odumesi many more gracious years on the surface of the earth,” the statement read.
“The grace of God will always advocate for you in all areas and on all fronts,” Mr Oduntan was quoted as saying.
