Police Arrest 3 Kidnappers On Wanted List In Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers who have been on the wanted list of the Command after a series of abductions in the Jattu community.

Eno Ikoedem, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of the Command, in a statement, indicated that the arrest was made possible through credible information, received by the Divisional Police Officer of Jattu Division, that one of the suspected kidnappers of one Ibrahim Jemila, who was abducted and later released had been sighted at Jattu Market.

According to the PPRO, the collaboration with members of the Edo State Security Corps reinforced mobilization to the location, where the three suspects were arrested in a commando style.

The three suspects, currently in the custody of the Edo State Police Command, were identified as Nura Dahiru, Ibrahim Yakubu, and Abubakar Inusa. The PPRO said they have confessed to being the major culprits in kidnap incidence in Jattu and the environs.

Meanwhile, CP Monday Agbonika, Edo State Police Commissioner, has assured residents that the police will use the holiday period to intensify patrols across the state to ensure that Muslims have a hitch free Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
