‎The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), The Worship Centre, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, has unveiled the theme for its 2026 Apostolic Fire Congress (AFC).

The announcement was made by Pastor Seyi Adeyemi, the Zonal Supritendent of the church, during a press conference in Lagos.

‎Addressing journalist, Pastor Seyi Adeyemi said the theme of the congress is “Let the King of Glory Come In” (Psalm 24:9).

He explained that the AFC, which began in 2017, was originally known as the Apostolic Fire Conference. However, beginning from the 2025 edition, the program’s name was changed to Apostolic Fire Congress in line with the directive of the leadership of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria, and Overseas.

‎He noted that the vision of AFC was birthed in 2016 during a period of prayer and meditation, with a divine mandate to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ and enhance the spiritual growth of believers. The congress, which always holds in the second week of January, coincides with the anniversary of CAC established on January 10, 2010.

‎Pastor Adeyemi highlighted that the world today faces unprecedented spiritual challenges, as end-time prophecies continue to unfold. He lamented that Pentecostal Christianity is increasingly shifting focus from true spirituality to showmanship, stressing the need to rekindle the apostolic fire in the hearts of believers.

‎“The message of this theme is to refocus Christians from the transient glories of this world and allow the King of eternal glory to take His rightful place in our lives.
“We must deal with every form of barrier represented by gates and everlasting doors which hinder godly living.”

‎The 2026 edition of the Apostolic Fire Congress is scheduled to hold from January 9 to 10, 2026, at the church auditorium located at Plot 1, The Worship Centre Avenue (Off Etal Road), Off Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos while the event will begin daily at 9 a.m.

‎According to him, he said
‎guest ministers for the 2026 edition include Rev. (Dr.) Bukola Oluwagbemiga from the LIFE Theological Seminary and Pastor Segun Awolumate from CAC Rejoice Arena, among several other anointed ministers, and worship leaders.

‎Over the past nine years, the AFC has hosted notable preachers such as Pastor Aanu Ojo, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Rev. (Dr.) Janet Onaolapo, and Evangelist Mike Bamiloye of the Mount Zion Drama Ministry. Each edition has featured impactful themes such as “Tongues as of Fire,” “Eyes on Eternity,” “Beauty of Holiness,” and “The Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

‎Pastor Adeyemi, while responding to journalist on the issue of insecurity in Nigeria, describing it as a plague that affects both Christians and Muslims adding that the killings in Nigeria are as a result of insecurity and terrorism which cut across all religions.

Speaking further, he said this should not be seen as genocide but as a national challenge that requires urgent government intervention,” he stated.

‎He also emphasized that the congress has, over the years, extended its impact beyond the church, reaching out to students in tertiary institutions through empowerment and employability training programs designed to prepare graduates for life after school.

‎Pastor Adeyemi concluded by calling for public prayers and support to ensure the success of AFC 2026.

‎“We invite the public and all denominations to join us in this congress as we propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ, win souls, and change lives,” he said.
