General Christopher Musa (rtd), Minister of Defence, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to transforming the Nigerian Army University Biu NAUB into a premier institution for specialised military and civilian capacity building.

A statement by Leah Katung-Babatunde, Special Adviser, Media to the Minister of Defence,
notes that General Musa stated this while receiving the University’s Governing Council at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja, where he assured the management of sustained strategic support and emphasised that NAUB remains critical to equipping personnel with the technical and operational expertise required to defeat complex contemporary security challenges.
The statement further discloses that the Ministry of Defence will collaborate directly with the Armed Forces of Nigeria to fully utilize the 30% admission quota allocated to military personnel to bridge specialised skill gaps across the National security landscape
Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, Pro-Chancellor of NAUB, commends General Musa for his tenacious leadership and strategic foresight, noting that his contributions continue to strengthen Nigeria’s defence architecture.
