Julius Malema has vowed to appealed the conviction of The East London Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape, South Africa that found Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema guilty of discharging a firearm during the party’s 5th anniversary celebration in 2018.

His former bodyguard, Adriaan Snyman, was acquitted of charges related to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The verdict marks a pivotal moment in the high-profile case, which has drawn widespread attention.
Malema reacting to the court ruling emphasised that we must not be deterred we leave here highly determined, we are going to fight this up until the Constitutional Court. we are coming on the 23rd of January for sentencing and after sentencing we will appeal because we think her judgment is faulty.”
