The Defence Headquarters says more than 122,000 insurgents have surrendered under Operation HADIN KAI since the creation of Operation SAFE CORRIDOR in 2015.
Major General Michael Onoja, Director Defence Media Operations who stated this in a statement adds that troops deployed in the operational theaters conducted a series of successful clearance operations, and rapid response missions across all theatre of operations.
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI maintained pressure on Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province fighters, repelling attacks and targeting their supply chains.
Major General Onoja stressed that the outcomes of the operations underscore the commitment of the Armed Forces to sustaining pressure on terrorist and criminal groups across the country.
